The Plough Inn is a traditional thatched freehouse country pub on the edge of the Cotswolds, run on a day-to-day basis by its' resident proprietors, Joe & Martin.
Our aim is to combine a high quality food offering for those that seek it, together with a traditional 'pubby' atmosphere for those that just want to socialise over a drink or two. To this end, we offer:
- Excellent real ales, cider, perry, Cotswold premium lager, and fine wines.
- Three seating areas - a traditional bar area, a dining area, and a snug with
sofas and an Inglenook fireplace.
- Lunch and dinner menus incorporating light snacks and sandwiches
(lunchtimes only), traditional pub favourites, excellent meats, local game, and
superb fresh fish. The emphasis is always on using good quality ingredients.
- Large beer garden and a courtyard patio.
- Good-sized car park.
- Large groups can be catered for by prior arrangement.
Children and dogs are welcome, but must remain under control at all times.
Autumn 2007: We are pleased to be included in the Good Beer Guide 2008, and have
also received an upgraded entry in the Good Pub Guide 2008.
Nov/Dec 07: We have received favourable reviews in both the Oxford Times and
the Witney Gazette, which you can read by clicking the relevant link.
